Mississippi Mills promotes this ride as a way to visit several museums in the municipality. While we won't plan to stop at the museums, it is still a pretty ramble from Almonte through Blakeney, Carleton Place and Appleton. Some rolling hills and about 3 km of hardpack, but real KNBC L1 riders have tested the route and given it a thumbs-up. Picnic lunch in Carleton Place beside the Mississippi River.
