Bike Shorts will now be published every 2 weeks over the winter. Next issue will be Jan. 14.
This week in Bike Shorts:
1. Winter Social
3. Cycling tours
1. Winter social, Jan. 26, Amberwood Lounge & Eatery
**Tomorrow you will be receiving an invitation to register for our annual KNBC Winter Social**
Back due to popular demand, we will be holding our annual KNBC Winter Social once again at Amberwood Lounge & Eatery in Stittsville. Their chef has worked up another gourmet menu for us to enjoy. The cost, including tax & tip, is $46 and includes hors d’oeuvres (new!) during cocktail hour, starter salad, choice of 3 entries, dessert, tea and coffee. See https://knbc.ca/event-3142909 for full menu and event details.
Please keep watch for the email that will be sent individually to members, tomorrow on January 1, 2019 with a link to register and pre-pay on-line. Taking your feedback from those who attended last year to reduce payment times at event, our new website allows us to offer this feature whereby you pay on-line in advance!
We hope to see you there and we encourage all members and their partners, including newer members, to come out and enjoy this event.
If you have any comments, questions, have items you would like to share for door prizes, please contact Janet Clark email@example.com

Multi-day tours in 2019
If you are planning a multi-day tour in 2019, please let me know (email@example.com) so we can start to put tentative dates of events in the calendar and in Bike Shorts. I will not be organizing a trip to Niagara, but most of the work has already been done so someone (moderately brave) could take it on.
The club has done trips to Ottawa Valley (Barry’s Bay, Pembroke), Kingston, Mt. Tremblant, Niagara, Hudson to Montreal, Le P'tit Train du Nord, Prince Edward County (Picton), Lake Placid and other locations. Peterborough is close by. Just look at a map ;)
