Book: Cycling Paradises: 100 Bike Tours of the World's Most Breathtaking Places to Pedal (2018)
Discover the best places to bike in this carefully curated guide to seeing the world on a bike. Organized by terrain - urban, mountain, on-road, scenic - each tour was constructed by leading French cycling expert Claude Droussent. Ottawa Public Library call # 910 DROUS
Book: Rediscovering Travel: A Guide for the Globally Curious (2018)
"Kugel takes the modern travel industry to task, determined to reignite humanity’s age-old sense of adventure that has virtually been vanquished by the spontaneity-obliterating likes of Google Maps, TripAdvisor, and Starwood points. Woven throughout with vivid tales of his perfectly imperfect adventures, Rediscovering Travel explains―often hilariously―how to make the most of new digital technologies without being shackled to them. For the tight-belted tourist and the first-class flyer, the eager student and the comfort-seeking retiree, Kugel shows how we too can rediscover the joy of discovery." Ottawa Public Library call # 306.4819 KUGEL

Multi-day tours in 2019
If you are planning a multi-day tour in 2019, please let me know (president@knbc.ca) so we can start to put tentative dates of events in the calendar and in Bike Shorts. I will not be organizing a trip to Niagara, but most of the work has already been done so someone (moderately brave) could take it on.
The club has done trips to Ottawa Valley (Barry’s Bay, Pembroke), Kingston, Mt. Tremblant, Niagara, Hudson to Montreal, Le P'tit Train du Nord, Prince Edward County (Picton), Lake Placid and other locations. Peterborough is close by. Just look at a map ;)
