1. Safety Tip from Monna - Be prepared for the cold and the dark 

Cold-weather biking presents some unique risks. Keep your core temperature warm, and avoid hypothermia by wearing multiple layers to insulate. Toques or balaclavas, ear protectors and neck warmers will be needed, and, don't forget better protection for your feet and hands.  With the time change, and shorter days, ensure you have sufficient lights, both on the front and rear of your bike to be clearly visible. 

Be extra cautious of snow or icy conditions, and take corners slowly and carefully. If riding in a group, be sure to alert riders behind you to any hazards they might not be able to see. 

Also - don't forget to stay hydrated
