Missing a pair of glasses? Walking into walls, lamp posts? Tripping over pets?

On Nov. 6, AGM evening, a pair of glasses was left near the KNBC Clothing table.  Linda Kennedy has custody of the glasses. If you think that they are your glasses please contact Linda:

Library Book: Cycling Paradises

Claude Droussent (2018) Cycling Paradises.

On order at Ottawa Public Library

From family-friendly urban sightseeing tours to epic rides off the beaten track, the destinations featured here range from easy bike tours of Paris to more challenging adventures in diverse locales like Utah's Zion National Park, the Ecuadorean Andes, or Mt. Snowdonia in Wales. Included also are some of the world's favorite cycling destinations: Normandy's lush countryside, the historic Hudson River Trail, an exotic Phnom Penh-to-Laos trail along the Mekong River. Explore the hills of Tuscany with stops for regional cuisine and great art and architecture, or soak up the local color on the Bolivia-to-Peru loop along the shores of Lake Titicaca. Each tour comes fully illustrated including details about length, estimated duration, elevation, difficulty, and points of interest.

Multi-day tours in 2019

If you are planning a multi-day tour in 2019, please let me know ( so we can start to put tentative dates of events in the calendar and in Bike Shorts.  I will not be organizing a trip to Niagara, but most of the work has already been done so someone (moderately brave) could take it on.

The club has done trips to Ottawa Valley (Barry’s Bay, Pembroke), Kingston, Mt. Tremblant, Hudson to Montreal, Le P'tit Train du Nord, Lake Placid and other locations. Peterborough is close by.  Just look at a map ;)
