1. The Rides (October 16-22)

Changes in the tour schedule may occur at short notice, particularly during periods of fickle weather.  Please check the Club Calendar on the website prior to heading to a start location.

2. Safety Tip from Monna – Be mindful of leaves and puddles
As the barometer drops - be mindful as you approach leaves. They may be hiding frozen puddles or just black ice; potentially very hazardous to cyclists, should you try to suddenly turn or stop. Look ahead and be aware of potential seasonal hazards.

3. Diversions
Tuesday Nov. 6, 2018 2nd notice of KNBC Annual General Meeting  6:00 – 9:00 pm
Biagio's Italian Kitchen, 1394 Richmond Rd, Ottawa. An agenda will be sent out to all members prior to the meeting. New members are especially welcome. Free pizza, cash bar, and a chance to socialize and compare road rashes.

Be Safe, Be Seen, October 2-31
Ottawa Fire Services, in partnership with Safer Roads Ottawa and the Ottawa Police Service will launch the third annual “Be Safe, Be Seen” initiative. Residents are encouraged to drop by any of the City of Ottawa Fire Stations in urban areas or one of the four rural fire offices, and receive a complimentary light or reflective item.  Each resident will be able to choose one item from the following list: a set of bike lights, a reflective armband/leg band or a pedestrian light. The initiative begins on Monday, October 2 and will run until Tuesday, October 31.
